You might enjoy Stronghold 3, but it's more on the building side. You could try the Paradox Strategy games, although they're not the same thing, more number crunchy. Europa Universalis IV or Crusader Kings 2 are good examples. You've also got Total War series, that may be a bit more up to your alley, however it's turn based (and then has RTS phases of battle only). These days it's probably easier to use wine. OP, supposedly Feral is porting Anno 1404, that's one to look out for.
